Outer Darwin Tourism Precinct

 

Come visit us and enjoy our beautiful area in a friendly tropical atmosphere. Tumbling Waters Holiday Park is located in the Outer Darwin Tourism Precinct, the area is best known for good fishing, crystal clear swimming pools, bird watching, beautiful beaches and award winning tourism facilities.

TERRITORY WILDLIFE PARK - 5 Minutes

 
tumbling_180.JPG   There is much to do at this 400 hectarewildlife park which has been consistently voted 'Best Major Tourist Attraction' in the NT. We recommend you spend a full day to fully enjoy your visit.

BERRY SPRINGS NATURE PARK - 5 minutes

 
tumbling_162.JPG    Spend the day relaxing at these beautiful, rainforest fed, crystal clear thermal swimming pools. Barbecue and picnic facilities are available, monsoon rainforest walks.

LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK - 1 hour drive

 
tumbling_166.JPG  Use our central location as a base from which to explore Litchfield National Park.  A scenic one hour drive via the northern entrance will take you to the heart of Litchfield National Park where you can spend a day swimming and exploring.

FLICKING FRESH BARRAMUNDI FARM - 5 minutes

 

Want to go barra fishing?  Flicking Fresh Barramundi farm at Berry Springs has opened its farm to those who wish to experience the thrill of catching large barra. Farm tours also available. More info from reception or visit www.reelbrainfood.com

WHOOP WHOOP DIDGERIDOOS

 

Come & learn about the making and playing of a didgeridoo. Free show Saturday nights from 5.30pm in the grounds at Tumbling Waters Holiday Park. The handcrafted didgeridoos are made from local timber and come in 3 sizes - large $120, med $100, small $70. They will also assist people to make their own didgeridoo with prior notice and will teach the basics of playing.


DARWIN RIVER DAM (7km)

Picnic on the lawns and enjoy the view of this magnificent dam.


MANDORAH BEACH (45 minutes)

Mandorah beach is located on the tip of the Cox Peninsula and offers uninterrupted views of Darwin city. A passenger ferry service to Darwin is available. The Mandorah jetty is a popular fishing spot and lunch at the hotel makes for an enjoyable day trip.


FARM SHOP - 5 mins

DUNDEE BEACH (1.5 hours)

Use our central location as a base from which to explore the western coastal area of the NT known as Dundee Beach. Throw in a picnic lunch, fishing gear and some refreshments and you are set for a great day exploring the beach.


DARWIN CROCODILE FARM (20 minutes)

 

One of Australia's largest farms, housing more than 15,000 saltwater crocodiles. Extensive tourism facilities and feeding 2pm daily.
